ABC Student Named Regional Player of the Year

Mount Hope, WV – Jordan Steiner, a senior at Appalachian Bible College, has been named Player of the Year for the 2021 soccer season. Announced during the Mideast Regional Tournament in Louisville, the award was voted on by the coaches of participating teams in the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association), Division II.

Steiner, the Warriors’ team captain from Mikado, Michigan, wrapped up his standout collegiate career by scoring a goal in ABC’s final match of the season, a loss to tournament host Boyce College. He is majoring in Bible/Theology and Interdisciplinary ministry at ABC, with a focus on serving youth and families.

“Jordan is a well-rounded player as he demonstrates his impressive skills, leadership on the team, and a testimony of Christlikeness on and off the field,” says ABC soccer coach Jonathan Lorch. “He shows what it looks like to honor Christ first in his life, and he also represents the NCCAA conference well as a student-athlete.”

As West Virginia’s only accredited Bible College, Appalachian Bible College has been training men and women to serve in church-related ministries since 1950. ABC offers Bible Certificates, Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Arts programs, including online courses. The campus is located just north of Beckley, while an additional location serves inmates within Mount Olive Correctional Complex. Learn more at ABC.edu.
