My mother went back to school later in life to become an RN. Her hard work and determination helped me to see how important college was, and how hard work pays off in the medical field.

What are your current career goals?

I hope to continue my education at Georgetown University to get a graduate degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Midwife.

How has the college experience influenced or changed your life?

The college experience has made me much more driven and focused on the things I want in life.  It has also made me realize how giving and generous others can be.  Before I received scholarships, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to afford college at all.  Now, I look at all the blessings that I have been given and I know that it is only because of the donations to scholarships that I am able to be where I am.

What is your ultimate goal for the future?

My ultimate goal for the future is to impact as many people as I can in a way that brings glory to God.  By working in the healthcare field, I will be able to make a difference and shine His light through kindness and compassion to countless people when it matters most.
