
Founded in 1950 and located in Bradley, Appalachian notably serves as West Virginia’s only accredited Bible College. Students from 34 states and 9 countries enjoy the beautiful setting of this 130-acre campus, just north of Beckley.
"Because Life is for Service," the College motto, provides clear ministry focus within the framework of a nurturing, vibrant environment. Combining academic challenge with both local and worldwide ministry outreaches, students readily develop practical application of classroom learning. All students participate in some form of community service.
Having both professional (ABHE) and regional (HLC) accreditation equips students with distinctive credentials. NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) provides student athletes with rigorous regional and national competition.
ABC’s Alpine Ministries attracts over 15,000 participants annually, providing internships for Bible/Camping students, as well as valuable employment opportunities for all. Alpine Bible Camp offers summer resident camps, while Alpine Adventures provides white water rafting, rappelling, wild caving, high ropes course, team building and paintball. These programs employ a host of knowledgeable students, proficient in adventure skills and ministry skills.
